Step Into the Spotlight

Here’s how the CastBound Fall Program works

CastBound Studios’ Fall Program unfolds over 12 weeks, offering performers the opportunity to build a production thoughtfully and collaboratively while developing a wide range of theatrical skills.

Rehearsals begin in early fall, with weekly Sunday and Wednesday sessions designed to establish the foundation of the production. During this phase, performers focus on ensemble-building, music, blocking, and storytelling, allowing the group to grow confident, connected, and grounded in the work.

Following Thanksgiving, the program shifts into its next phase as rehearsals expand to include Friday evenings, giving performers additional time to deepen the work. During this period, the focus turns toward polishing staging, refining character choices, and preparing the production for the stage.

Throughout the process, dedicated time is built into rehearsals for workshops and hands-on training. Performers explore acting, movement, vocal technique, set construction, props, painting, technical theatre, and other behind-the-scenes elements that bring a production to life. The Fall Program emphasizes both performance and process. By combining rehearsals with skill-based workshops, performers gain tangible, transferable skills they can carry into future CastBound productions, other theatre programs, and beyond. Above all, the program is designed to build confidence, collaboration, creativity, and a deeper understanding of how theatre works — onstage and off.

The program culminates in five fully staged performances in a large, professional theatre setting, where family, friends, and members of the community are invited to come together to watch, celebrate, and applaud the performers’ hard work, growth, and dedication.

Production

You're a Good Man Charlie Brown

THE MUSICAL

Happiness

CastBound Studios You're a Good Man Charlie Brown Vision

Our production centers the inner lives of Charlie Brown and his friends, treating each scene as a snapshot of childhood: moments of hope, frustration, imagination, and quiet resilience. We lean into the honesty of the material, inviting audiences to see themselves in the awkward pauses, big feelings, and everyday struggles that define these characters.Charlie Brown’s journey anchors the show — a kid who keeps trying, keeps hoping, and keeps showing up, even when things don’t go his way. Around him, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Sally, and Snoopy are given space to be more than caricatures, revealing the vulnerability, humor, and longing beneath their familiar traits.Through thoughtful staging, ensemble storytelling, and playful physicality, CastBound’s You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown highlights themes of friendship, self-doubt, imagination, and perseverance. This production isn’t about winning or perfection — it’s about resilience, empathy, and the courage it takes to be yourself.By focusing on truth, connection, and character, CastBound Studios presents a Charlie Brown that feels intimate, joyful, and unmistakably our own — reminding us that kindness, curiosity, and simply trying again are what make someone truly “good.”

Rehearsal & Performance

Workshops & Artistic Training

Theatre Sports & Theme Days

Our rehearsal process is designed to be challenging, supportive, and engaging. Performers work on scene study, choreography, vocal performance, and movement while developing a strong understanding of character and story. As the process continues, rehearsals focus on refining transitions, ensemble work, and performance detail — building confidence, stamina, and collaboration as the show comes together.

Throughout the program, performers take part in specialized workshops led by CastBound’s professional team. Workshops may include movement, vocal technique, character development, storytelling, stage combat, set/costume design and creative exploration. Workshop content is shaped by the interests and strengths of the cast, giving performers tools they can carry into future training and productions.

At CastBound, fun is part of the process.

Performers take part in Theatre Sports, where they are placed on teams and compete in friendly theatre games and creative challenges throughout the intensive. Points are earned along the way, and the winning team has their name engraved on the CastBound Theatre Sports Champions Trophy. To keep the experience dynamic and engaging, theme days are built into the program. These vary by production. Together, Theatre Sports and theme days help build ensemble, confidence, and a rehearsal environment where performers feel supported and excited to take creative risks.

Creating a fully staged musical involves real behind-the-scenes costs, and our goal is to ensure every participant has a high-quality, safe, and inspiring experience.

CastBound operates as a not-for-profit program, and all tuition goes directly toward supporting the production and the young artists involved. We are committed to transparency and to keeping theatre as accessible as possible.

If tuition presents a challenge, families are always encouraged to reach out for a supportive, judgment-free conversation about options.

There is no payment required to audition for CastBound’s Fall Program. Signing up for an audition does not guarantee acceptance. Following auditions and callbacks, performers who are offered a place in the program will receive an email with details on how to complete payment. Tuition is only due once casting has been finalized and a spot has been accepted.

CastBound’s Fall Program is designed for the DREAMERS. Young performers who are excited to grow — not just in skill, but in confidence, curiosity, and collaboration.

• Young performers seeking a supportive, structured environment
• Students interested in acting, singing, movement, and ensemble storytelling
• Artists who enjoy balancing creative play with focused rehearsal work
• Performers ready to show up, take risks, and engage fully in the process

Dreamers face their fears, take creative risks, and reach for what hasn’t existed yet. We push young artists to fly by not only encouraging big ideas, but by helping them do, create, and act on their dreams in real, tangible ways. We know that Dreams are simply realities in waiting — you just have to be brave enough to move toward them. Whether you’re a storyteller, a creator, a wanderer, or someone still discovering your voice, this is a space to explore, imagine, and bring ideas to life — and to take meaningful steps toward the dreams that matter to you.
